Rosyth is an early twentieth century garden city that played an important role in British military naval operations throughout World War I, World War II and the cold war. Its huge, 1,300 acre port on the Firth of Forth was once a base for submarines and military vessels. However, Rosyth’s military base closed in 1994 and there are no navel ships based there now.
In the new century, Rosyth’s port has been dominated by the private sector. A freight ferry travels several times a week from Rosyth to Zeebrugge, Belgium and back. Rosyth has become an increasingly popular port for cargo vessels, and the town’s economy is now dominated by trade.
Rosyth is near the bridge at Queensferry and across the M90 from Inverkeithing. It is also a very short drive from Leslie, north of Glenrothes, where Anchor Timber Buildings is located. Anchor Timber Buildings delivers its sheds, summerhouses, playhouses and garages to Rosyth for free.
Anchor Timber Buildings manufactures garden sheds, storage sheds, potting sheds, summerhouses, children’s playhouses, pet houses… every type of timber outbuilding that you could imagine. We have so many standard models and sizes with so many available options that almost everyone is able to find exactly the timber outbuilding they need in our online catalogue. However, we also offer bespoke timber buildings for those with unusual requirements and for our customers who need to fit their building to an existing foundation.
Anchor Timber Building’s products are constructed of solid redwood, a species of pine that is native to Scotland and Northern Europe. All of our wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests and all of our buildings are manufactured at our facility in Fife.
We have recently opened a huge indoor showroom with over 100 fully constructed timber buildings on display. We’re a short drive from Rosyth, so why not pay us a visit? Take a look at the selection of timber buildings on our website, get an idea of what size might work for you, and then come and see our products in person.
